ACE / E-Manifest Filing

ACE, E Manifest filing, Automated Commercial Environment, is US Customs all encompassing term to describe the ultimate goal of paperless trade in an environment of enhanced border security.

Every commercial vehicle that approaches the US border must provide US Customs prior notification of arrival.

With the implementation of ACE, the onus is transferred to the Carrier to notify US Customs prior of arrival to the port of entry.

However the notification must be transmitted to US Customs electronically. This service we provide for all carriers, including faxing to your custom broker and obtaining entry numbers.

ACI E-Manifesting

It’s been in effect since April 1st 2011. You must have your own generic Carrier Code to transport goods into Canada. The ACI web portal has been launched, the 12 month timeline to comply with ACI is in effect and all carriers will have to comply by November 1st 2012. Carriers will have to comply with this new requirement if you are not in compliance fines will be assessed to the carrier.   Don’t wait to the last minute to register with the new requirements to avoid being held up at the border and being assessed hefty fines. If you have questions or need to get set up, contact us.
